TEDxWindyCity

What We Did

TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. At TEDx events, unique talks given by live speakers combine with pre-recorded TED talks aim to spark deep conversation and connections. Shannon is the license holder for TEDxWindyCity and since 2009, has been leading the team in curating, planning + producing all elements of these exciting and important events to honor the amazing people of Chicago.

Our 2013 event was absolutely amazing. We had a sold out audience of over 600 people, an indoor picnic sponsored by Ravinia, 11 amazing speakers, 4 performances, a blogger lounge, an interactive lab and flavor tripping with Homaro Cantu. We are already planning for 2014.
