Grant for Good

What We Did

The Chicago Women's Health Center was the Grant for Good recipient for 2011. The CWHC is a unique collective working together to provide affordable, compassionate and collaborative gynecological and mental health care to women and trans people in the Chicago area. Their health care providers, counselors and health educators share a strong commitment to their vision: A world in which all people have access to comprehensive, affordable and sensitive health care.

Phase I: Plan + Produce the Chicago Women’s Health Center’s first ever fundraising event while educating the staff throughout the process so that it would be replicable + sustainable in years to come. After 9 months of preparing (ironic we know) the event was a resounding success both in frivolity and fundraising objectives. With over 200 guests, the event raised nearly $20,000 for the center.

Phase II: Guide the CWHC team in developing a comprehensive social media strategy for the center that is manageable + efficient and then train select staff on the various tools and platforms so they can spread the word about the AMAZING work they do.

2012 recipient: ElevArte Community Studio
