What We Did

Chiquita Banana was launching a new and exciting crushed fruit snack and Chicago was their test market. (Chicagoans are very snack savvy after all). "Crushies" descended on Chicago for a full-on flavor fest from May to July with the goal of ensuring that every Chicagoan got the opportunity to enjoy the new line of snack replacements. 100% fruit with no additives, Rainforest Certified bananas, 100% recycled bottle which was recyclable and 5 delicious flavor combinations made these treats stand out!

Pivotal was engaged to build and foster an online community of Chicagoans via Facebook + Twitter to drive awareness and excitement for Chiquita Banana’s new crushed fruit snack. We were then tasked with moving this digital community to real life sampling and influencer events and ultimately drive in-store sales.

Digital coupons, a hashtag campaign, contests eliciting user generated content, live tweeting from the sampling events and connecting with loads of influential Chicagoans were a few of the ways we made the magic happen.
